Intend Health Program News: December Update

Here’s a recap of Relational Leadership programming delivered to healthcare professionals, teams, and organizations over the past several months:

BRIDGE Healthcare Partners: At a leadership retreat for this Denver, Colorado-based provider of managed services to nonprofit community-based health centers, we provided the team with actionable practices for integrating story, psychological safety, and collaborative decision making into their day-to day-work.

California Improvement Network (CIN): By popular demand, we delivered a second workshop on Tools for Authentic Collaboration and Decision Making, after the first reached maximum capacity. One attendee expressed that the workshop was “beautifully formatted and charismatically performed." We’re grateful for our partnership with CIN, which is a project of the California Health Care Foundation.

Cambia-Sponsored Programming: Funded by a generous Cambia Health Foundation grant, we completed a four-session training series focused on Relational Practices in Quality Improvement, with a cohort of healthcare professionals from community health clinics across four states.

Frontier Pediatrics (Twin Falls, Idaho): We provided staff with training on 5 Dynamics® and Building a Culture of Feedback, and have an upcoming session with their leadership team on Collaborative Decision Making.

Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group: We delivered a two-day, in-person training to leaders at the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) in Maryland, the largest multispecialty medical group in the region.

Relational Leadership for Clinical Leaders (RLCL): With our partners at OCHIN, we concluded the fall cohort program in December. More than 25 clinical leaders learned Relational Leadership concepts and practices including Teaming and Relational Culture, Positionality and Power, and Building a Culture of Feedback.

RLI@Carolina Fall 2023 Cohort: The fall cohort concluded in November, with 30 participants attending the four sessions. Participants reported that they will put into practice skills they learned, including ensuring psychological safety in their work environments, finding more opportunities for collaboration in and across teams, and being more intentional about holding space for telling stories.

Sam Houston State University School of Nursing: We delivered the first of three workshops, focused on Teaming, How to Build Psychological Safety, and Inviting Others to Share Their Stories.
