Small Moments of Leadership and Connection Will See Us Through
If I’m honest, I feel like a pendulum swinging between hope and despair. Reading the latest news, speaking with healthcare colleagues across the country, trying to process mind-boggling change, we are living through the greatest and worst of our shared human experience. My wildly-swinging pendulum has been knocking me off balance. Making me unable to focus, edgy, anxious. In that fog, there’s one thing I’ve found that helps — focusing on the small things that mark our inevitable path to recovery.
I have the great honor of leading an organization, Primary Care Progress, a national nonprofit that works with interdisciplinary healthcare providers and students across the country to strengthen the community at the heart of care. As so many lives are being transformed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been called to deeply reflect on what it means to live out our mission.
